AnswerGap measures how often AI assistants name a business when people ask which option is best. This page says exactly what that involves collecting, and who else sees it.
What we collect
- The website address you enter. This is the whole input to a scan.
- Your IP address. Recorded with the event that starts a scan, and used only to stop one visitor from running unlimited free scans. It is not used to identify you or build a profile.
- Your account. Your email address, your name if you give one, and either a hashed password or your Google account id. We never store a password in readable form.
- The scan itself. The questions we ask, the answers the assistants give, which brands they name, and what we find when we read the pages of the site you entered.
- Subscription status. Whether you have an active plan, and an id that identifies you to our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
Who else sees it
Running a scan means asking real AI assistants real questions. Those questions contain your brand name and your category, and they are sent to:
- OpenAI (ChatGPT) — every scan, free and paid.
- Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini) — for subscribers whose plan includes them.
These others handle parts of the service:
- Polar is our merchant of record. When you subscribe, Polar — not us — takes the payment and holds your billing details. Your email address goes to them so they can invoice you.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with it. We receive your email address, your name, and your Google account id. We ask for nothing else, and we cannot see anything else in your Google account.
- Railway hosts the application and the database. Cloudflare serves the domain.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and there is no analytics or tracking script of any kind on this site.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. A second, which lasts ten minutes, exists only to make signing in with Google safe against request forgery. That is all of them — no advertising cookies, no third-party cookies, nothing to consent to.
The site we scan
When you enter a website address we fetch its public pages, exactly as a search engine would, and we respect its robots.txt. We read only what anyone can read without signing in.
How long we keep it
Reports are kept while your account exists, because a subscription is a record of change over time and deleting last month’s numbers would defeat it. Ask us to delete your account and we remove it, your reports, and the scan history behind them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email dudi@adgpt.com and we will act on it within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, these are your rights under GDPR; we answer the same way wherever you are.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, the date at the top changes with it.
